inspiration

I went to the Grannery and saw some really exciting and inspiring wallpaper today.  The papers are a collaboration between PIP studios and Brian Yates...
It made me think about how you don't always have to be traditional within your work, new and exciting designs can be far more exclusive and successful.

exhibition

SO ON AND SEW ON....
our textiles class is having an exhibition on 23.3.09 -27.3.09 at the Stew gallery in Norwich and im trying to think of what to put in it.  I want to display a range of my prints but i dont know how to do this with out over complicating my ideas and drawings.

Rather then just printing a length of fabric my most recent idea is to print 4 or 5 pieces of fabric and hang them from hangers or from a string to show how they can relate to print in fashion.
I need more ideas now!
more repeat print ideas based around the idea of collectables. the images are scans of my drawings and then the pattern has been created using photoshop.

fashion ideas

This is one of my favorite prints that i have designed this term.  Originally i have always considered my work as interior based however, after looking more closely into fashion ideas i put my work onto a mannequin.  I was really pleased with the results and have entered this design into the Bradford Competition.
